Actually, a similar method is to use the ChatGPT Exporter extension to export your ChatGPT conversations, then upload them to Claude. With your method, Claude won’t be able to retain all that information.

This is a much-needed topic—starting from scratch every time is honestly frustrating.

A smoother way is to carry your context along, and tools like transferllm.com are already making that possible in minutes instead of hours or days.

How are you planning to handle long-term context syncing across updates?

Great article! Heads up you can use memory forge to make a hot reloadable memory chip file from your ChatGPT export too. This part can help regular Claude know all about you. https://pgsgrove.com/memoryforgeland

I’ve been using Claude to help me polish off my institutional grade futures trading strategies and it’s been a big help!!
