I agree . I think we are moving past the hype phase and into the more mature phase of AI adoption which is where the more interesting stuff is going to happen ! I was waiting for the crazy news cycle around AI to die down so we can get to the serious stuff
I think you are missing a little something in your story. Yahoo did use the Google algo for search and agree to brand it Google results. Then Goog offered them on a different interface for search, the rest is more less accurate. The real added value was that paid search makes more valuable the results because it gives better options. Those were developed by an other company in Pasadena and Goog “took” the technology then paying Yahoo billions for that.
