1. Opus 4.7 will likely cost you 2-3x as much as Opus 4.6
2. In various ways it has gotten much worse - it seems to have an even stronger tendency in 'creating infinite loops where it argues with you' than Sonnet 4.6 already could which with the price of Opus is a total desaster. Especially in Claude Cowork it has becompe completely unusable to me.
1. Yes, but they also increased rate limits. Here's a tweet from the creator of Claude Code: "Opus 4.7 uses more thinking tokens, so we've increased rate limits for all subscribers to make up for it"
2. On Substack I've seen plenty of positive takes with 4.7, while on X it's the opposite. I think it's really case by case
